Unreal Project Creation.

20/11/2019

I started off by creating a third-person perspective project from scratch. This helped me get used to how lighting and fog are used to give a world a primitive sky box.

The next step was to start placing basic polygon assets into the level and making sure that the player can walk on top of them. While doing this task, i managed to learn some useful shortcuts and how to navigate the UI.

Furthermore, i downloaded a player model asset of Sevarog, from Epics late paragon, off the Unreal Marketplace and edited the blueprint to replace the default model with the new model. Currently the code has only the default LMB attack assigned, but i will endeavor to learn how to use the Blueprint and re-allocate the skills and animations.

Next, i begun to load some assets from the Unreal Marketplace to see how lighting effects different materials, and to see if i can create a living, breathable world. The assets I downloaded are seen below alongside the world i ended up with. These assets are all the ones i have purchased, but i only used certain ones within my world.
