The Script
We started the project by writing a script. We brainstormed ideas together and came up with a film reel of footage being found with the corpse of a director.
I then was tasked with turning the script into a rough storyboard. i looked at a example storyboard located in the room we were in that used arrows to show movement and also followed a guide that showed how to use arrows to indicate zooms and pans in the camera.
This storyboard didn't turn out that well, but i hope to improve on this in the future when doing another project that requires a storyboard.
Recording and Editing
We went out to a wooded area near Sutton to film the parts of the work that are outside, and used the studio to make the news report part of the project.
We all had to make our own edits on the footage, so i used After effects to make the footage look like it was on a film reel (can't do much about the clothes, bags, etc). I added grain and colour corrected it, using lumetri colour, to make it look dated.
I'm struggling to transfer my AE file to premiere, and once i have transferred it i have to learn how to use it. I can't use AE to change the audio as much as i would be able to in premiere, so i'm stuck.
I'm also currently stuck as i don't have the news report footage.
Things i hope to improve upon in the future, if there is one: figure out how to do audio effects on either After effects or premiere; if premiere is needed do it all on there.
