Self Reflection

I feel overall i have learnt a lot, from how to model, the principles of game design to creating an animation. I've developed skills, found myself new goals and achieved a few already. However, despite all of that i also feel i'm lacking in a lot of areas. My time management went down hill past the first few months and i began to only do work a few hours a day. This led to a lot of work piling up that i had to push through in the last stretch that really burdened on my mind to the point i didn't do any of it a lot of the time, which only made it worse for myself.

Therefore, in an attempt to study further and improve my skills while also improving my core skills i intend to do more work for myself in my free time, in 3D modelling, animation, art and also research into industries alongside research into artists and games in an attempt to build a foundation for myself to stand upon.

I found while doing the Game Design document (here) that the development of a project is stressful but fun all the same, this was something i also felt while reviewing the FF7R demo i played at EGX (here) and also when playing the game in it's full release and thinking about how each fight, area, and event would have been planned out. This caused me to remember a video i watched of SIE Santa Monica Studio's development of God Of War (2018) and how their development journey wore a lot of them out and also filled them with joy all the same. This has lit a new fire in me that wants me to push through for something like this and i feel like with time i can grow into someone that will be in that position.
